I ad my voice to the chorus. I will not buy this until the extended version comes to blueray. I didn't fall for it the first time, and I will not fall for it this time.

Here is your one star you money hungry basterds. Why do this to your audience?
By Peter Oliver Bruelle
See that's exactly the reason why you will keep on struggling with unsatisfying blu-ray sales dear film industry executives:
As long as you obviously don't take customers seriously and apparently underestimate their intelligence as well as their patience
you will never receive the necessairy support for "new" products like blu-ray format. People will stick to their DVD collection and
will further on refuse investing their money in the blu-ray format just because of "bluff packages" like the LOTR blu-ray edition.
By C. R. Bell (New York, NY)
New Line would be wise to put all their attention into making one stellar bluray release with both versions of the film and all previously included extras. They should then supplement this package with newer extras updating fans on the LOTR film phenomenon, Hobbit film information etc.
By releasing this monumental movie achievement in the same piecemeal fashion they did the standard DVDs, New Line is telling fans that they have absolutely no respect for them.
New Line execs should ask themselves, (what would Aragorn do?) and react accordingly.

Going to save my money and buy the extended edition. Just adding my 1-star to the pile.
